Bezoekersprogramma Transfer International tijdens Next Level, Düsseldorf

In het kader van het uitwisselingsproject rond digitale cultuur tussen Vlaanderen, Wallonië, Nederland en Nordrhein-Westfalen, ‘Transfer International’ genoemd, wordt een bezoekersprogramma georganiseerd in Keulen en Düsseldorf van 9 tot 12 november 2017 rond kunst en cultuur in relatie tot games.
Bram Michielsen, game designer, curator en co-founder van The House of Indie, en Youri Loedts, schrijver, consultant en creatieveling in digital storytelling, werden geselecteerd om deel te nemen aan het bezoekersprogramma.
Het programma omvat onder meer verschillende tentoonstellingen in Keulen (IM SPIELRAUSCH, Museum voor Toegepaste Kunsten) en Aachen (Digital Games. Art and Computer Games, Ludwig Forum), concerten en performances en een bezoek, zowel individueel als in groep aan Next Level 2017 – Festival for Games in Düsseldorf met ontmoetingen met verschillende kunstenaars, organisatoren en deelnemers.
Kunstenpunt is partner van Transfer International, samen met Het Nieuw Instituut, NRW Kultursekretariat en de Federation Wallonie-Bruxelles / Wallonie-Bruxelles International.
Over de deelnemers
Bram Michielsen is co-founder The House of Indie, a non-profit indie game collective, based in Antwerp, Belgium. The collective is committed to curating, nurturing and solidifying local as well as international indie culture. It organises Belgium’s only indie game festival Screenshake, as well as the monthly Indie Game Salons (informal developer meetups), game jams, builds arcades and installations, gives talks and workshops and demo indie games at events.
Youri Loedts is Creative Director at JUSt.Agency, an advertising company specialised in digital and social media, where he is responsible (a.o.) for the design of advergames and apps. He is also Co-founder & Creative Director at Carrot on a Stick, production house specialised in social video. As a freelance Youri works with the alter ego of Gamecrunch as a consultant for games and gamification.
Every two years he is part of the commission at VAF Games.
