Feminist ninja: upgrading intersectional feminism with the hacker class

This documentary explores the idea of “hacking” from an intersectional feminist point of view. Ranging from “cyborg feminists” (referring to Donna Harraway’s Cyborg Manifesto and Feminism Confronts Technology by Judy Waycman) to class struggles (based on A Hacker Manifesto by McKenzie Wark) and male toxicity in the technology sector.

How can we emancipate feminists to learn critical skills such as system administration? Can we build a feminist “fediverse” of home and community servers? Can we have an Internet without toxic masculinity? How can the use of technology become a form of protest?

The documentary ends with a positive call to see the work needed not just as a mere technological change, but as a change in culture. It is not about digital tools, but about the ways in which we interact and how we can empower each other without introducing dependency relationships.
