Flanders Arts Institute strives to strengthen the position of individual artists, in artistic as well as socio-economic terms. A professional artist’s job does not solely consist of artistic activities, but a mix of all kinds of tasks. As a rule professional artists are multiple jobholders with diverse jobs within and outside the arts. We try to shed a light on the socio-economic profile of the artist in Flanders & Brussels.
