Culture, sustainability and social justice in Edinburgh & Glasgow
In February 2024, Eva Peeters and Nathalie Decoene of Greentrack, and Katrien Reist of SamenDurable and Réseau des arts Brussels Kunstenoverleg, visited Edinburgh and Glasgow to be inspired by local initiatives working at the intersection of sustainability, climate urgency and art.
They spoke to only a fraction of the organisations in this area, but came back with a load of interesting practices.
During this working visit, six cultural organisations committed to social-justice and sustainability were visited:
- Rowanbank Environmental Art & Education
- Creative Carbon Scotland
- North Edinburgh Arts
- Sculpture Placement Group
- Re-Set Scenery
- Wasps
