China discovers … performing arts Flanders
This text is published on the occasion of the remarkable wave of interest on the part of China for theatre and dance from Flanders in 2013. It was part of a broader programme around the productions of Needcompany with readings in Beijing, at the Central Academy of Drama, Paper Tiger Studio and the Ullens Centre for Contemporary Art.
With a number of landscape sketches on theatre and dance – in addition to data sheets on several artists and companies – this publication, entirely in Chinese, aims to give the reader insight into the dynamism of an artistic landscape that today is viewed as a phenomenon worldwide.
