Friends with Books, Berlin, 2016
In 2016, Flanders and the Netherlands are the Guest of Honour of the Frankfurt Book Fair. Presentations of artists’ books from Flanders & the Netherlands during important art book fairs in Europe are part of this programme.
At Art Brussels and Art Rotterdam in 2015 and Offprint London (May 2016), Flanders Arts Institute and Mondriaan Fund presented a selection of books curated by Maaike Lauwaert (NL) and Luc Derycke.
At Frankfurter Buchmesse and Offprint Paris, we presented a new selection done by Roos van der Lint (NL) and Luc Derycke (BE).
In December 2016, Flanders Arts Institute and Mondriaan Fund present another selection of artists’ books from Flanders and the Netherlands at Friends with Books, an artist book fair in Berlin. The Flemish books are curated by Kasper Bosmans, Inge Ketelers and Ward Heirwegh. The Dutch selection is done by Roos van der Lint.
