Visual & performing arts programme during Frankfurt Book Fair

This year, Flanders and the Netherlands are guest of honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair. On this occasion an extensive cultural programme features theatre, dance, performance, theatre for young audiences and artists’ books.

During a theatre for young audiences weekend in Mainz productions will be staged by Theater Artemis & Jetse Batelaan and HETPALEIS & Randi De Vlieghe. Staatstheater Mainz plays German translations and adaptations of children’s novels by Joke van Leeuwen and Simon van der Geest. In the framework of STUKschrijven, an initiative of Barbara Wyckmans and Bart Moeyaert, new texts will be read aloud.

Künstlerhaus Mousonturm organises Tolle Künste, an eight-week programme featuring dance, theatre, performance and literature.

Visual artists David Claerbout and Laure Provost show new work in Städel Museum and MMK3 respectively.

And at the book fair a selection of 32 art(ists’) books from Flanders and the Netherlands, selected by Luc Derycke and Roos van der Lint, will be presented.
