Belgium Booms: showcases at the Reeperbahn Festival and the MaMA Festival & Convention
This autumn Flanders Arts Institute, under the colours of Belgium Booms, will once more back a number of showcases by Belgian artists and bands at festivals abroad. In late September the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg (DE) will be on the programme, and in mid October it will be the turn of the MaMA Festival & Convention in Paris (FR).
REEPERBAHN, 21 UNTIL 24 SEPTEMBER, HAMBURG
Reeperbahn, Germany’s largest club & showcase festival, welcomes every year some 32,000 music lovers as well as 3,500 professionals. During the day the festival features a wide range of debates, presentations and networking events. In the evening you can discover emerging musical talent.
The focus country this year is the Netherlands, but Belgium is also represented, with Warhaus, Pomrad, Baloji and Robbing Millions.

MaMA, 12 UNTIL 14 OCTOBER, PARIS
MaMA presents itself as the meeting place for international and especially French music professionals. It is similar, in terms of concept, to Eurosonic Noorderslag (Groningen) and to the Reeperbahn Festival.
For this edition, two Belgian bands have been selected for the showcase programme: Woodie Smalls and Pomrad.

ABOUT BELGIUM BOOMS
Flanders Arts Institute will back the Belgian showcases with a Belgium Booms campaign, in collaboration with Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques and with the support of SABAM for Culture. Belgium Booms seeks to give Belgian music professionals a hand in developing their international careers, to promote Belgian artists at showcase festivals, organise network meetings and develop promotional material.
