A meeting moment for artists and professionals from Flanders and France with a focus on the intersection between new media, film, visual arts, technology and science.

On 28 November, Werktank, Cas-co and Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains will organise a meeting moment for artists and professionals from Flanders and France with a focus on the intersection between new media, film, visual arts, technology and science. The day runs parallel to their annual exhibition Panorama 26. Twelve artists from Flanders will present installations, performances and audiovisual work to French professionals.

To strengthen the collaboration and networking between Flanders and France, Flanders Arts Institute is inviting ten artists, curators and professionals from Brussels and Flanders to participate in the gathering at Le Fresnoy.

10:45 Launch of the day by Mathilde Chassot, Culture/International Officer, Hauts-de-France Region and Aurélie Duchateau, Deputy General Delegate at the Flanders Delegation in France
10:50 Introduction by Lissa Kinnaer, specialist in visual arts and international relations at the Flanders Art Institute, Éric Prigent, digital creation educational coordinator at Le Fresnoy – Studio national and Stéphanie Robin, administrator of Le Fresnoy – Studio national
11:00 Two perspectives on digital arts in Flanders and in France by Ils Huygens, curator, researcher and publisher, and Adrien Cornelissen, author, lecturer and coordinator of HACNUMedia
11:45 Presentations by the professionals and artists present, followed by a discussion
12:30 Lunch break
14:15 Artist presentations, film screenings: Collectif De Hoop, Elke Van Der Kelen, Lupe Arens, Guillaume Slizewicz, Haseeb Ahmed and Siemen Van Gaubergen
15:30 Presentations of the artists’ installations: Lucy Andrews, Lucian Moriyama and Anouk Kellner (performance)
16:30 Visit to the Panorama 26 exhibition in the presence of the artists: Alan Affichard, Émilien Dubuc, Rachel Gutgarts, In Vitro (Xiyue Hu and Xing Xiao), Ethann Néon, Melia Roger, Achref Toumi
18:00 Closing the day with a drink and performance by Lucian Moriyama
