Visitors’ programme Early Music
Early music is thriving in our country. Across the land, there are festivals and concert halls that focus on both local and international artists. While the sector primarily centers around historic music, it also constantly innovates.
To introduce the broader world of classical music to different aspects of this sector, Intra Muros, MA Festival and Flanders Arts Institute are hosting a visitors’ program in Alden Biesen (Bilzen) and Bruges. From the fifth to the seventh of August, international programmers, organizers, ensembles, and more will have the opportunity to explore the festivals, experience performances by featured artists, and network with other music professionals. They will witness the artists in action, get to know them better, and establish connections within the industry.
Brief overview of the program:
- Friday, August 4th: Arrival and welcome in Alden Biesen.
- Saturday, August 5th: Intra Muros – all day: concerts and presentations.
- Sunday, August 6th: MA Festival – VéloBaroque and networking dinner.
- Monday, August 7th: MA Festival – Morning: concert and closing lunch.
If you would like to learn more about this program or participate in this or a future edition, please contact Ward Bosmans at ward@kunsten.be.
Although the program itself is closed to participants, the festivals are open to everyone. Take a look at their respective websites for more information about their programs: Intra Muros on August 5th and MA Festival from August 4th to August 13th.
