Network meeting – into conversation about international working for artists
Are you a visual artist? Join international curators on 20 October and go into conversation about the opportunities of international working for artists and professionals.
Programme
As part of the international visitor programme UFO #3, we are co-organising a public networking meeting at Kunsthal Ghent. After each guest curator has presented about his/her/their organisation, we will dive into the knowledge and network of the international curators in smaller groups. We will be discussing the opportunities for international work and development for artists and professionals.
The international guests come from different corners of Europe and are all people who are closely involved in supporting artists from their positions as artists or curators.
Our international guests are:
Sophie Dogterom – Programmer Visual Arts at De Brakke Grond (Amsterdam, NL)
Juha Huuskonen – Director HIAP – Helsinki International Artist Programme (Helsinki, FI)
Frank Lamb – Artist Development Coordinator for East Street Arts (Leeds, UK)
Matthew Nevin – Co-director of MART Gallery & Studios (Dublin, Ireland)
Rocco Ruglio-Misurell – Co-director of Horse & Pony (Berlin, DE)
Alberta Romano – Curator at Kunsthalle Lissabon (Lisbon, Portugal)
Kate Westen – Senior Producer at East Street Arts (Leeds, UK)
NB: this event is fully booked.
