Programma
From 23 to 26 November 2017, the IETM Plenary meeting, on ‘art in the age of populism’ will take place in Brussels. This meeting will also be a perfect occasion to discover 2 Belgian cities in a different way: there will be a pre-meeting in Charleroi and three city walks in Brussels that will make you discover some hidden aspects of the city.
Brussels, the city of diversity and contrasts, will host a four-day reflection on how art can help to overcome the ‘us against them’ discourse, put together the pieces of fragmented societies and shape a truly different future. The meeting will consist of working sessions, networking activities, city tours and an artistic programme. Both members of IETM and non-member participants are welcome to attend.
IETM – International network for contemporary performing arts – is a network of over 500 performing-arts organisations and individual members working in the contemporary performing arts worldwide: theatre, dance, circus, interdisciplinary live art forms, and new media. IETM holds two plenary meetings a year in different European cities, and smaller meetings all over the world.
