Networking at sea during TAZ#2024
The TAZ#2024 programme has been launched, and that means you should be in Ostend from July 31 to August 10 to enjoy performances, encourage colleagues or maybe even play yourself. On August 5, TAZ is organising a Networking at Sea-session: the opportunity for young makers to get to know the sector better!
The TAZ#2024 programme has been launched, and that means you should be in Ostend from July 31 to August 10 to enjoy performances, encourage colleagues or maybe even play yourself.
On Monday, August 5, TAZ is organising a Networking at sea-session – the opportunity to get to know the sector better. Its beating heart is the Living Library: a collection of experts from all areas of the performing arts sector (policy, production, distribution, advocacy, etc.) who you can just ‘borrow’ for a chat. Or just come for a cosy chat!
How do I write a grant dossier? Where do I pitch an idea for a performance? Who helps me with the issue of copyright? How do I get programmers excited about my work?
Just before the opening of our Living Library, you can also participate as a young stage performer in Pairing is Caring – an initiative of SOTA/The Gap. After a short round of talks with some experienced industry peers, a match will be made between you and the mentor of your dreams: someone to spar with, get advice from or question you critically. Pairing is Caring is free, but do register, as places are limited!
The full programme of NAZ#2024 is as follows:
- 13:00 – 15:00 Pairing is Caring @KAAP
- 15:00 – 15:30 short break
- 15:30 – 18:30 introductory statement by Zindzi Tillot Owusu followed by the Living Library
- 19:00 the poetry performance Oerhert by Astrid Haerens (ticket required)
- Ongoing bar apéro
Be welcome! Feel free to also inform your classmates or friends-colleagues, share the programme via your own socials and, above all, come together, double the fun.
