Eurosonic Noorderslag is the European Music Platform with a proven track record for helping new acts break into the international music scene. By night, during two showcase festivals (Eurosonic and Noorderslag), musical talent has the chance to present itself to an international audience of music lovers and professionals.
Eurosonic is the stepping stone for European acts, taking place in the city centre of Groningen. Noorderslag presents the best Dutch music and takes place in concert venue De Oosterpoort in Groningen. By day an international music conference takes place, the key exchange and networking platform for European music. It attracts over 4,000 delegates, including over 400 international festivals.
Twenty-five Belgian bands and artists are selected for the 2017 edition: Altrego, Baloji, Bazart, Brutus, Cleveland, Cocaine Piss, Coely, Delv!s, Echo Beatty, Fleddy Melculy, Glints, GoldFFinch, J. Bernardt, Jacle Bow, Jan Swerts, Kel Assouf, La Jungle, LTGL, Mustii, Newmoon, St. Grandson, TaxiWars, Témé Tan, Tsar B, and Warhaus.
Belgium Booms is a collaboration between Flanders Arts Institute/Kunstenpunt and Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques, with the support of SABAM for Culture. It gives Belgian music professionals a helping hand in their international development and promotes Belgian artists at showcase festivals, organises network meetings, publishes promotional material, sends out info to selected pros, etc.
