Kunsthal Gent offers a working period for a visual artist to collaborate with the experimental operacollective The Airport Society on the stage production of ‘Requiem’ by Verdi.
The Airport Society is a partnership of international opera artists and social entrepreneurs that initiates projects intersecting between opera and social engagement. They venture outside the traditional opera production systems and explore alternative strategies for creating, producing and presenting opera.
The production will premier in Theater St. Gallen, Switserland, in the spring of 2023. Kunsthal Gent offers space and a budget of 5.000 euro to create and show new work within the framework of the production.
