Work with a cultural partner from Quebec
Cultural collaboration
The Flemish Community and Quebec have had a cultural cooperation agreement since 2002. In this context, a number of exchanges and initiatives have been set up in recent years. For example, in the period 2018-2020 the focus was on performing arts for a young audience. For the period from 2021 to 2023, we will jointly support collaborative projects around youth and performing arts, digital culture and intangible cultural heritage. We always launched a cultural project call. In recent years, it has brought together various cultural actors, despite the pandemic and the temporary closure of the borders.
We want to continue these positive collaborations in the period 2024-2026. That is why we will continue working on performing arts and digital art for this period. Digital creativity, performance art and sustainable innovation/ecologically responsible art are central.
