Denkdagen Het Theaterfestival 2024 (c) Nisran Azouaghe

TheaterFestival and Flanders Arts Institute are launching the second edition of the Industry Reflection Day, the successor to the Sector Day. This year, with the upcoming structural subsidy round in mind, we are focusing on inspiring practices and methodologies that can strengthen the future of our arts landscape—good practices that can contribute across the performing arts sector. And for that, we need your input!

What?

We are looking for inspiring or leading practices that fall within one or more of the five functions of the Arts Decree. Which practices, locally or internationally, have moved, surprised, or inspired you? Which offer opportunities for transition, new ways of working, and have the potential to sustainably shape our landscape towards 2035?

Selection

Together with a jury, we will select a handful of initiatives (a maximum of 2 per function) and invite them to conduct a guided workshop during the Reflection Day. Based on the selected submissions, we will create a program aimed at strengthening each other, sharing new ideas, and envisioning the future of the sector together.

Which initiatives or organizations inspire you and should the sector (better) get to know? Let us know and briefly explain why they resonate with you.

Deadline

Submit your entry by Monday, April 28 (11:59 PM) by filling in this form
The jury will review the submissions on May 5.

The goal of this open call is not to promote your own idea or practice, but to share an example that you believe is valuable for the sector.
