Open Call: present your new project to a panel of 25 international professionals
Wallonie-Bruxelles Théâtre Danse and the Flanders Arts Institute organise a project presentation event on the afternoon of 2 July 2021 at the Wild Gallery in order to stimulate national and international co-productions, to promote networking and to publicise new projects that are in the process of being created in the two communities of the country.
In three minutes, each artist will present their project in English to an audience of 25 (inter)national professionals.
After the 10 pitches, each artist will have 12 minutes to present their project to a panel of 2-3 foreign project managers. The presentation will be given at least six times in a process that will last a maximum of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Each selected artist will receive a fee of €250 (VAT included) for their presentation and presence during the day.
Panel
The selection panel is made up of Sarah Rombouts (FAI), Sofie Joye (FAI), Véronique Laheyne (WBTD), Séverine Latour (WBTD) and members of the artistic team of Kunstenfestvaldesarts.
Criteria
– The artist/company must be a recognised professional working in the cultural sphere and reside in Belgium
– The artist/company must be able to prove that they have the support of a Belgian partner/of Belgian partners
– The project creation must relate to the 2022-2023 season
– The discipline(s) of the project must be in the field of performing arts
– The project must have international potential
– The artist cannot be in the programme of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in 2021 and must not have been presented in a session of To be continued
– The artist must be available all day on 2 July 2021.
Selection criteria
– Purpose, originality of the artistic proposal (specificities of the movement, innovative and unique nature of the show, quality of the production, etc.)
– Quality of the dossier submitted attesting to the professional nature of the artist or company
* The selection will focus on ‘hybrid’ projects, performances and emerging companies with an international potential.
A maximum of 10 projects will be selected.

The following information should be provided in a maximum of three pages:
– Presentation of the artistic proposal
– Technical information – if possible (set-up/dismantling time, number of people involved in the tour, technical needs, etc.)
– Budgetary data (transfer price, co-production needs, etc.)
– International dissemination strategy or explanation of the desired international context for the project
– Are there specific people you would like to be put in contact with during the programme?
