MetX Wild Card: production and financial support

In addition to our regular resident artists, MetX is always looking for new, emerging musicians and original formats. That’s why we launch another Wild Card for musicians in 2025. Looking for artistic, productional and financial support to start a new project under the wings of MetX? You can submit your proposal until 20 January!

The focus of this project call: developing an entirely new professional production that matches with our vision and mission. The musician can develop his/her project in absolute freedom, without immediate pressure to perform or present anything. He/she receives logistical (infrastructure to rehearse, limited number of recordings, …), productional (promotion, distribution, audience development) and financial support from MetX. In addition, he/she can also call on the artistic expertise and coaching of other MetX musicians.

Previously, Karen van Schaik (2021), Rokia Bamba / Akar (2022), Robbe Latré (2023) and Esinam Dogbatsé (2024) enjoyed a push for the creation of their respective projects.

Please send a short description of your proposal (max. 1 A4) before 20 January 2025. Explain the content and artistic aspects of the project, adding a short planning and possible participants and/or co-producers. Other documents are also welcome (CVs, demos, recordings, visual material, …).
