Seeking artists, performers and researchers for POP-UP Wantij ’24
Are you an artist, performer, word artist, researcher or scientist who is inspired by the complex relationship between nature and human? Are you growing a vision of this relationship in your daily work? Would you like to take the audience on a journey to show what is needed for a more sustainable future? Then we invite you to take part in the second edition of POP-UP Wantij, an open-air exhibition at the Wantijbad in Dordrecht.
What?
On October 26th 2024, the outdoor swimming pool Wantijbad in Dordrecht will once again be the setting for POP-UP Wantij. This year, this interdisciplinary art exhibition will focus on the ‘Dialogue between Nature and Human’. Amid the beautiful, changing nature of the temporary closed Wantijbad, participants will present their work, with which they explore this dialogue.
We are looking for emerging talent who dare to speak about climate change, sustainability and its impact on their and future generations. How can we change human nature in order to see nature as our equal? How can we achieve a balanced relationship with our environment and raise awareness about these pressing issues? These are some of the questions we want to explore during POP-UP Wantij ‘24, allowing participants to take full advantage of their artistic freedom.
Who?
For this year’s edition, Stichting Buro Grenzeloos is looking for talent from various disciplines and backgrounds. Whether you are a visual artist, engaged in film/ videomapping, a performer, a word artist, or study this issue in a lab… whether you are taking an art course, studying in the field of nature and sustainability at any educational level, or wether you are self-taught, we cannot wait to see what you want to share with the audience. Take the opportunity!
