What?

For the new edition of FORMAT, Z33 is seeking promising designers and architects who will address the theme of ‘Living with water’.

FORMAT

FORMAT is Z33’s training trajectory for the new and promising cohort of professionals in the field of design and architecture. Six (inter)national designers or architects with a maximum of four years of experience get the opportunity to deepen their artistic practice and to share their knowledge and networks.

After one year of intensive supervision by a personal coach, a group exhibition will be held to conclude the project. In the learning process involved you will be given ample time and space to explore boundaries and unconventional domains. At Z33 we consider the exhibition not only as an artistic product, but also as a means to foster public discussion.

LIVING WITH WATER

How can we conceive of water as an essential and finite resource that is to be used sparingly? For this edition we seek designers and architects who wish to explore this issue – ranging from concrete, palpable solutions to scenarios imagining different futures.

For whom?

FORMAT is looking for designers and architects, a graphic designer, a scenographer and a writer who recently graduated (max. 4 years ago) and who live, work or study in Flanders or the Meuse-Rhine Euregion (Eindhoven, Maastricht, Liege, Aachen, …).
