Supernova 2025

Eleven art organisations will go in search of young, promising chamber music ensembles – the 2025 Supernovas!
Every year, experienced programmers from the classical music world select two Belgian chamber music ensembles. SUPERNOVA is an incentive prize that gives young artists recognition and the opportunities to perform: a calling card at the start of a promising career. The two celebrated Supernovas win a Belgian concert tour. The first concert on this tour takes place at Bozar as part of Klarafestival 2025. Supernovas also receive media attention from both Klara and Musiq’3, and one of the finalists will have a chance to win the audience award.

partners and stargazers

Supernova is organised by ten different partners. They each support the competition according to their own ability structurally, logistically and/or financially. In addition, each partner organisation delegates one jury member who sits in both the first round, semi-final and final. Partners (with the exception of Flanders Arts Institute, Klara and Musiq’3) undertake to programme both winners.

Stargazers are cultural organisations that have committed to programme one or more Supernova finalists three years in a row. Delegates from these cultural organisations are present at the semi-finals and collectively have one jury vote.
