Belgian Art and Design Affair

This open call is for students and recent graduates (maximum 3 years) in an art or design field. This includes disciplines such as visual and audiovisual arts, textiles, photography, glass, ceramics, (interior) architecture, furniture design, product design, graphic design and more.

What we are looking for

  • Contemporary, idiosyncratic and surprising works.
  • Freedom in shape, material, style and dimensions.
  • Both two- and three-dimensional work are welcome.

Why you should be there

With more than 10,000 visitors spread over 3 days and an exclusive opening evening, BADAFF offers a large stage for your work. This is a unique opportunity to show your work to a wide audience and come into contact with renowned galleries and other makers. You will also profit from the exposure through the BADAFF (social) communication channels.

Selection

  • The curators of BADAFF act as a jury and select candidates based on the submitted information.
  • Each work is judged on concept, authenticity and craftsmanship.
  • Multiple works may be submitted, provided that each work is accompanied by the requested information.
  • Deadline for submission is December 1st, 2024.

Regulations

  • If your work is selected by the jury, the selected work must be delivered and installed in the days before the fair, and collected again the day after the fair before 10am. (24.03.2025)
  • You are requested to be present during the fair to explain your work and/or to sell your work to interested visitors.
  • Your participation is free of charge.

How to apply

Use the button below and fill out the form before December 1st to let us know that you want to apply for the Young Talents open call.

Next, to submit the work or object you want to apply with, send an email to team@badaff.be mentioning “Young Talent” and your name in the subject. In the email, you can add all information about the work (title, used materials, size, short description,…). Finally, don’t forget to add photos of your artwork.
