“À l’œuvre!” Lafayette Anticipations support production programme 2022

In 2022, Lafayette Anticipations – Fondation Galeries Lafayette extends its commitment to supporting contemporary creation with the third edition of “À l’œuvre!”.

Four candidates will be selected through a call for projects to develop their proposal in the Foundation’s production, publishing, and video-editing workshops. This time, these resources and tools will allow the creators to conceive, develop, and experiment with their artistic project, thanks to a production grant of 1,500 euros, a set of machines, and the support of the institution’s team of professionals.

The machinery that makes up the workshops is spread across the Foundation’s building. On the basement floor are the wood and metal workshops, paint booth, 3D printing, laser engraving and cutting, as well as milling and tracing by digital control. On the second floor, a full image, sound, and video editing station gives creators the means to realize their digital projects. Finally, on the third floor, the publishing workshop enables the printing and assembly of small series of artist books. Risograph printing is one of the specificities of the Foundation’s publishing practice. The workshop is also equipped for large-format and digital printing, creasing, assembly, heat press, paper cutting, and perfect binding. Lafayette Anticipations is committed to providing artists with all these techniques and expertise.

Terms and conditions

4 candidates will be selected, applications are open to artists in France and abroad.
Duration: 8 weeks – one artist every two months from March 2022 (excluding July and August 2022). The conditions of support for each project will be defined with the team during preliminary meetings.
Complete application to be sent before midnight on 3 January 2022.
Results announced on 2 February 2022, first project hosted from 1 March 2022.
