Residencies abroad
Residency spaces allow artists to question and develop their practice during a temporary stay in a particular place.
Residencies mainly offer time and space, sometimes accompanied by a programme of activities or opportunities to produce and show work.
By staying in another city or country, or by meeting residents from home and abroad, artists expand their international networks.
Voor binnen -en buitenFor residencies at home and abroad, artists can apply for a residency grant (in Dutch).
Residence locations that Flanders collaborates with
In addition to residencies in our own country, many Flemish artists also attend residencies abroad. This is possible, among other things, in the residency locations with which the Flemish government has a partnership.
