MEDIATINE PRICE ’23

Drawing, installation, painting, performance, photography, printing techniques, video, textile art,… 2023 is an exceptional edition. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Prix Médiatine, the Wolubilis Cultural Center has surrounded itself with numerous partners. In addition to the 7 prizes rewarding the selected artists, the laureates will benefit from exhibitions, residences and/or production aid within the following institutions  : TAMAT (Tournai), BPS22 (Charleroi), Province du Hainaut, Centrale for contemporary art (Brussels), Center Wallonie-Bruxelles (Paris), ISELP (Brussels), MAAC (Brussels), Botanique (Brussels), Center de la gravure (La Louvière), Kiosk (Antwerp), Extra City ( Ghent).

The Prix Médiatine is aimed at artists aged 18 to 40, regardless of their artistic background and technique. Reflecting contemporary plastic research, this  competition  calls on  young visual artists  wishing to energize current creation and confront their thinking with a professional jury.

Seven prizes will reward the winners  whose works will be exhibited, as well as those of the selected artists, during an exhibition at La Médiatine which will take place from January 25 to March 12, 2022.  The rules of the competition and the application form online registration can be consulted and completed via:

The works that have been pre-selected must be deposited and installed on November 21 between 2 and 8 p.m. at L’espace Vanderborght – 50 rue de l’écuyer in 1000 Brussels.

• SUBMISSION OF FILES before November 10, 2022 (11:59 p.m.) via mediatine@gmail.com. The pre-selected artists will be informed of the pre-selection on November 18 at the latest.
• DEPOSIT AND ASSEMBLY OF WORKS (for pre-selected artists only) November 21, 2022 – From 2 to 8 p.m. – at the Espace Vanderborght – 50 rue de l’Ecuyer – 1000 Brussels.
• DISMANTLING AND RETURN OF THE WORKS (for all) November 28, 2022 – From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. – at the Espace Vanderborght – 50 rue de l’Ecuyer – 1000 Brussels.
• OPENING 25/01/23 from 6 p.m.
• EXHIBITION from 26/01 to 12/03/23 at the Médiatine – 1 Allée Pierre Levie – 1200 Brussels
